Here is a brief ‘Terms of Service’ document for our clients. The following sets out what you can expect from our service. Should have any questions or concerns, please reach out and we can discuss your requirements.
Services
Pedals Dunedin Limited (8486347) (referred to as “Pedals”, “we”, and “us”) will provide the following standard services:
Screamer Sub15 Delivery - completed within 15 minutes of Ready Time*;
Sub30 Delivery - completed within 30 minutes of Ready Time*;
Sub60 Delivery - completed within 60 minutes of Ready Time*;
Same-Day Delivery - completed by 5pm on the Ready Date.
*Zone crossings will affect the service durations. More information below.
Pedals can provide tailored distribution services. You can contact us directly to discuss your distribution needs.
Hours of service
We operate from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.
When you book a delivery the “Ready Time” is automatically set to the present, but you can update this as needed.
Same-Day deliveries can be booked with a "Ready Time" from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. After 3:30 pm, book a Sub60 or faster service, or set the "Ready Date" for the next business day.
Sub60 deliveries can be booked with a "Ready Time" between 7:00 am and 4:15 pm in the Home Zone and until 3:45 pm in either of the Away Zones. After these times, book a Sub30 or faster service.
Bookings made before 7:00 am will have due times based on a 7:00 am start (e.g., a Sub60 job booked at 6:30 am will be due by 8:00 am).
For out-of-hours deliveries (or after 4:30 pm), please contact us directly to check availability.
Delivery zones
We have four delivery zones: Pedals Home Zone, Pedals Away Zone North, Pedals Away Zone South, and Pedals Resi Zone.
Standard prices apply within a single delivery zone. Deliveries across zones incur a surcharge and extended delivery time (except Same-Day deliveries, which are due by 5 pm).
For time-sensitive deliveries (Sub60, Sub30, Screamer):
Crossing from Pedals Home Zone to either Pedals Away Zone: standard time increases by 50% (e.g., 30-minute service due in 45 minutes).
Crossing between the two Pedals Away Zones: standard time doubles (e.g., 30-minute service due in 1 hour).
Deliveries to or from the PedalsResi Zone: standard time doubles (e.g., 30-minute service due in 1 hour).
Capacity and delivery sizing
We carry a maximum of 90 kg or 1.2 m³ per delivery.
For deliveries exceeding these limits, we will make multiple trips.
Delivery orders are classified by weight and longest edge as follows:
Small - Up to 15 kg, longest edge < 35 cm;
Medium - Up to 30 kg, longest edge < 60 cm;
Large - Up to 60 kg, longest edge < 90 cm;
Huge - Up to 90 kg, any edge > 90 cm.
Standard prices apply to Small orders (up to 15 kg, longest edge < 35 cm). A surcharge will be added for larger sizes.
Online booking system: TwinJet
TwinJet is our booking software. We can set up your account free of charge and without obligation. The system is intuitive, and free training is available upon request.
When booking a delivery, please use the Extras field to indicate size and note other useful information in the Special Instructions field to help us plan. We reserve the right to update an order to reflect its size or weight.
Ensure addresses are accurate. Any confusion or delay caused by incorrect addresses may incur a surcharge.
We record the recipient’s first name for Proof of Delivery. For high-value items, we can include a photo requirement upon request.
Pricing and payment
Our standard pricing is outlined below. Your pricing options may vary, and will be agreed upon before service. Prices quoted are for Small deliveries within the Pedals Home Zone.
Surcharges apply for:
Deliveries larger than Small size;
Zone crossing;
Pick-up delays over 3 minutes, charged in 5-minute increments at our discretion;
Redelivery or return to sender.
A minimum delivery fee of $10 applies to one-off deliveries (customers without an account).
All prices are GST exclusive; GST will be added at invoicing.
You will receive a detailed invoice at the end of each month.
Payment by bank transfer is due 7 days from the invoice date.
We may charge default interest of up to 15% per annum compounding monthly on all amounts that are not paid on time.
If any amounts are not paid on time, we may suspend any further services that you have booked.
Any costs that we incur in the enforcement of any of our rights in these terms due to a default by you will be payable by you.
Standard pricing (including standard surcharges) is subject to change. We will notify you of any changes before service.

Surcharge for zone crossing
Deliveries between the Home Zone and either Away Zones - $2.00
Deliveries from one Pedals Away Zone to the other - $3.00
Deliveries to or from the Pedals Resi Zone - $3.00
Surcharge for waiting at pick-up
Pick-up delays over 3 minutes - $3.00 per 5 minutes
Promotions
First delivery free
Within one month of signing up to a TwinJet account, you are eligible to any free delivery service, excluding our Screamer Service.
Book your free delivery via your TwinJet account.
Pedals retains the right to withhold this promotional offer.
Delivery and risk
We will deliver all items exercising reasonable care, skill and diligence.
For undeliverable items, we will call you to discuss options, such as a redelivery or a return to sender. A redelivery or a return to sender will incur additional fees.
We have completed the delivery when we have delivered the item to the address that you have provided or, for undeliverable items, have returned the item to the sender. Delivery will be confirmed within TwinJet and via a confirmation email.
If a delivery is cancelled before we have begun the delivery, we will not charge for that delivery. If a delivery is cancelled after we have arrived for collection, a delivery fee will be charged.
We reserve the right to turn down a delivery if we do not think it is safe or possible for us to complete it.
We have no responsibility for items once they have been delivered.
Our guarantees
In the unlikely event of loss or damage to items caused by our staff, and if we determine the responsibility is ours, we will cover the replacement cost up to $1,000 (including GST).
Urgent deliveries (Sub60, Sub30, Screamer) are price-guaranteed. If delivered late, we will charge the next applicable service level down.
Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986
If you are in trade and our services are being provided to you for business, you agree that the provisions of the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (“CGA”) will not apply to these terms.
If you are not in trade and a “consumer” (as that term is defined in the CGA), nothing in these terms is intended to have the effect of contracting out of the CGA or the Fair Trading Act 1986 except to the extent permitted by law.
Miscellaneous
By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms.
For unusual or bulky deliveries, or for deliveries outside the Away Zone, please call us to discuss. We will be happy to negotiate a price for you if we can help.
If circumstances (e.g. severe weather) mean that we need to halt deliveries for safety or otherwise, we will notify you.
All warranties and representations (including those expressed or implied by law) in respect of our services are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law –
our maximum liability is $1,000.00;
we shall not be responsible or liable, in contract, tort (including negligence), equity or otherwise for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damage or loss, loss of profit, income or savings, or any costs or expenses incurred or suffered by you or any other person, arising out of, or in connection with the performance or non-performance of our services.
You indemnify us against any loss or liability suffered or incurred by us that is caused by your breach of these terms.
Our failure to enforce any of these terms is not a waiver of any of our rights or obligations under these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
